Mentor Graphics' Topology Router Technology Wins Product of the Year Award
WILSONVILLE, Ore., February 9, 2007 - Mentor Graphics Corporation (NASDAQ: MENT), the market and technology leader in printed circuit board (PCB) design solutions, today announced that its topology router technology was honored with a Product of the Year award from Electronic Products magazine. The topology router is an industry first because of its ability to follow an engineer's guidelines for bus topology routing and then automatically mimic a CAD designer's manual edits to form clean and structured bus structures.
The 2006 Product of the Year Awards were announced in the January 2007 issue of Electronic Products magazine. 2006 marks the 31st anniversary of Electronic Products’ “Product of the Year” awards, which began recognizing the best products in the industry in 1977.
Electronic Products Editor Christina Nickolas stated, "Mentor’s topology router technology was evaluated by the editors of Electronic Products magazine and chosen from the thousands of products launched in 2006 to be of innovative design, significant advancement in technology and a substantial achievement in price and performance."
"Mentor’s topology router technology significantly decreases design cycle time, increases designer productivity and quality of the board, and optimizes performance," said Henry Potts, vice president and general manager of Mentor Graphics' Systems Design Division. "We are honored that it was the only design tool awarded Product of the Year status."
The topology router technology is available as an option in both the Expedition™ Enterprise and Board Station® flows. For more information: www.mentor.com/topology
