Graphics Translation: CAMCAD Graphic
Creating graphical formats can be challenging especially when attempting to create specific graphical formats for photoplotting Gerber files generated from ECAD data or creating AutoCAD DXF files for documentation purposes. CAMCAD Graphic is specifically designed to to address the needs of these users, allowing them to edit graphical data and translate it from one graphical format to another.
The CAMCAD Graphic A (Graphic Translator) makes it easy to translate between different vector graphic formats used for design, manufacturing and documentation. Formats supported include DXF, Gerber, Gerber X, HPGL, and HPGL 2.
CAMCAD Graphic B (Graphic Editor) is also available for users who need edit capabilities. This package also includes more standard read and write graphic formats than the Translator package, including the following:

CAD to CAD Translators
SMS's translators for PCB design files translate all the information required for PCB design and manufacture. This includes: libraries, placement, insert attribute information, netlists, traces, text, and copper areas as well as many other relevant items. All this is accomplished without having to perform "gerber-in" and "cross-referencing". In fact no user reference definitions are required at all because we extract CAD data from its native file format and export it directly into the new file format, subject only to the limitations inherent in the CAD systems themselves.
CAMCAD PCB Translator
CAMCAD PCB Translator is a fully functional PCB CAD translator with an intuitive and easy to use graphical interface. CAMCAD PCB Translator supports a wide range of popular CAD formats such as Mentor Graphics, Cadence Allegro, Orcad, and Accel EDA, as well as industry standard formats including GenCAM, GenCAD, and IPC-D-356. CAMCAD PCB Translator allows you to import a CAD file into CAMCAD's graphical user environment, verify the data, modify the data as needed and then export the data into any licensed file format. These features mean that the user has total control over such things as layer mappings and the resolution of incompatibilities between CAD formats.
OmniNET
OmniNet is a Universal Netlist Translator that permits the translation of partlist and netlist data from one Schematic Capture vendor's format to another vendor's simulation or PCB Layout netlist format. OmniNet's control features allow you to take into account differences in library names, system limitations and legal characters, and create a "ready to load " netlist format. All output files are "ready to load" into your simulation or PCB layout system immediately after translation. No manual clean-up or editing is required. OmniNet also records all changes in a log-file and can, if necessary, reconcile (restore) the original names.
OmniNet allows you to chose from a wide range of input system formats and translate these files into one of many different output system formats. Most popular Windows, DOS and UNIX based ECAD Schematics and PCB design formats are supported. OmniNet is fully menu driven, fast and accurate. OmniNet is a fully attribute definable EDIF, VHDL and VERILOG translator for Netlist and Connectivity. SPICE setups are available. OmniNet also allows you to produce a CAD netlist for PCB from VHDL board level files.
OmniNet comes in two editions:
OmniNet for Windows - Universal Netlist (Connectivity) Translator: The standard edition of OmniNet, this package contains all of the translator import and export modules.
OmniNet for Windows - Developers Edition: OmniNet is a Universal Netlist Translator that permits the custom development of Netlist Readers and Writers using the OmniNet for Windows Database engine and reader/writers. This is realized with the implementation of a will TLB Library access and build-in BASIC programming engine. The user can create his/her own readers and writers with a complete database API. Based on TLB Library this API can be accessed with the internal build-in BASIC engine or VB Script, Visual Basic, Visual C++, Visual Java. Sample files are also included.
