Connectivity Spreadsheet Editor
The Connectivity Spreadsheet Editor (CSE) is an interconnect spreadsheet that lets you connect parts on a schematic very quickly. This is especially helpful when working with large parts. Components and any existing interconnects are added to the CSE whenever a schematic page is opened. You can then select a cell in the spreadsheet that corresponds to a pin on a component, and add a net by entering the net name. Net names can be copied to additional cells, connecting all the associated pins. The CSE offers two views of your design data. The Component View shows the components and their pins in the first column, the net names in the second column, and the pin numbers in the third column. This view is useful for wiring high-pin-count devices.
Alternatively, the Nets View shows the nets in the schematic in the first column, and the components at the top of each column. The spreadsheet cells show the component pin that the net is connected to. This view is useful for schematics with nets that connect to many components, such as in backplane or connector schematics.
