Modernizing System Development: Requirements-based, Model-driven Design, Implementation & Test
White Paper
ABSTRACT
This paper explores a more modern approach to system development built on a Model Driven Development (MDD) approach. MDD directly addresses the three key challenges of systems design: 1) sequential development processes, 2)document-driven communication, and 3) isolated development. Allowing disconnected development and waiting until the latest program stages to perform systems integration and connect all the pieces is a high risk situation, yet one all too common in today’s product realization process. Bringing domain expertise together as appropriate throughout a project’s development process is imperative for project success.
