Course Details

The Calibre® product suite is the industry standard for deep sub-micron physical verification. All of the Calibre applications are built around a common core engine and use a common process flow and environment. This course will acquaint you with that environment and prepare you for further training for all Calibre applications. This course is a pre-requisite for new Calibre users who desire to take additional application-specific Calibre training.

Hands-on lab exercises will reinforce lecture topics and provide you with tool usage experience. This course employs the powerful Calibre DESIGNrev layout viewer in all labs.

You will Learn How to:

  • Describe the data and process flow for a typical Calibre job
  • Manage rule files written in Calibre’s powerful Standard Verification Rule Format (SVRF) language

  • Use the Calibre Interactive GUI to specify job options
  • View physical verification results in the flexible Calibre Results Viewing Environment (RVE) tool
