Why Live Online Training?
Knowing how to leverage your EDA tools is more critical now than ever. But travel is costly and time consuming. Mentor Graphics Education Services brings knowledge to your desktop without the time and cost of travel.
Is the same material covered as in the traditional classroom environment (instructor standing in front of classroom)?
The material covered is exactly the same including all lectures and labs. The only difference is Live Online Training classes are typically delivered in shorter sessions over a slightly longer time period. For example, a Live Online class may be delivered over seven days versus five. This allows the participant time to address company/business related issues or to review classroom material. All training documentation and manuals required by the participant will be sent prior to the beginning of the class.
Are both public and private classes offered?
Yes. Public classes are posted on the training website. If a class has not been scheduled you may request one. Private classes can be scheduled at any time to bring users together from multiple sites without the need for travel. In addition, private classes can be tailored to meet individual training requirements.
How is Live Online Training delivered?
Utilizing the power of virtual machine technology and the WebEx collaboration tool, a complete classroom and lab environment is provided including licensed software and lab data. These tools provide the same experience and hands-on practice as a standard classroom environment.
How will I ask questions during class?
There will be ample opportunity to interact with the instructor both verbally (via conference call) and by text (chat).
How do I pay for Live Online Training?
Register online or through your Education Services Representative - education_services@mentor.com. We accept training PASSBOOK tokens, VISA, MasterCard, AMEX, check, or a purchase order. Payment is REQUIRED at least10 days before class in order to receive access codes and participant materials.
How do I receive course materials and access codes?
Materials will be sent to you prior to class once payment has been received. This may be in the form of downloads from a web page, FTP site, e-mail attachment and/or traditional postal service. All access codes will be provided via email.
Will there be additional costs for phone usage during Live Online Training?
The price of the course includes access charges. Your company will not incur additional phone costs in North America. For locations outside North America, please check with your local Mentor Graphics Education Services Representative.
