AMPLE 2 training focuses on how to use the AMPLE language to automate tasks in the Mentor Graphics Falcon Framework. Separate modules focus on advanced customization and AMPLE Userware development, including understanding the relationship between scopes and Userware, creating advanced Customization objects, such as custom prompt bars, complex dialog boxes, and complex menus, optimizing AMPLE Userware, using AMPLE system utilities, linking C routines into AMPLE, using string registries and status codes, and customizing error-handling mechanisms.Objectives
- Locate scope information about functions and areas of the application
- Define custom prompt bars
- Create custom dialog boxes that contain action sites, repeating sites, and switch sites.
- Create custom menus, including palette menus and submenus
- Store custom userware so that it is properly loaded upon invocation, or on demand
- Use AMPLE system utilities to compile and test userware
- Use the Mentor Graphics Debugger to debug userware
- Identify and use C-related AMPLE data types to create C programs compatible with AMPLE
